Manalo's began with a love for food and family, inspired by our lola, Norma Manalo, who came from Pampanga—known as the food capital of the Philippines—in the 1970s. Growing up visiting Lola Norma and her sister, Lola Lucing, we were spoiled with some of the best Kapampangan dishes. Fast forward to today, we, Atchie Nia and Kuya Huy, are part of Metro-Atlanta’s vibrant Filipino community. Missing Lola Norma’s specialties, we decided to share her legacy through Manalo's, bringing a taste of her kitchen to Atlanta.
We launched Manalo’s in April 2022 at the Filipino Food Festival in Decatur, GA. We weren’t prepared for the overwhelming support—selling out in an hour and receiving incredible feedback on our dishes. Since then, we’ve participated in over 50 pop-ups, sold more than 5,000 ube cookies, and made countless memories with an amazing community that has become like family. Every event, every dish, and every memory has brought us closer to our dream.
Our mission is to share the rich culture of the Philippines, highlighting some of our Kapampangan cuisine, with our growing family. Everything we make is crafted with the same love and quality we’d serve to our own family because, to us, that’s what you are. We’re here to celebrate Filipino flavors, foster community, and create a space where food and culture bring people together. Kain na!
Or, as they say in Kapampangan - Mangan tamu!
